Please print these instructions now so you can reference them during the download procedure.

The following download instructions apply to the WIN product links. Each of the WIN based products is contained in a self-extracting zip file (wrapper).

MAC Purchasers: are downloading the actual Excel file (no zip file).

Sampler Download Instructions:

1.   On the Downloads page Click the "Free Sampler" for Windows hyperlink.

2.    You will be directed to the Licensing page. Select Agree, (if you do).

3.    Fill in your name and email (or “NA” if you wish).

4.    Click Submit button at the bottom of the form.

5.    Choose the “Save" button.  When prompted for a location, choose the Desktop.

6.    After the zip file download is complete, you should see a new Pkzip icon on your Desktop.  This is a zip file (wrapper) that contains the sampler file.

7.    Double click the PKzip icon to start the unzip feature.

8.    If greeted with a windows security-warning window, click Run.

9.   After double clicking the Pkzip icon a new window will open with “Planning Templates” in the title bar.

11. There will be a default destination in the top cell. Ignore and click the browse button on the top right of that window.

12. Scroll to the top of the pull-down list and click on the “desktop” (or any other location to which you wish to place the file). Then select OK.

13. Click the "Extract" button.  Click "OK" in the additional small window that opens.

14. The Planning Templates Excel-based file will be extracted to location you selected. If you selected "Desktop" the file will be there.

Instructions for Purchased WIN files:

1. On the Downloads page click the appropriate product link.

2. You will be directed to the Licensing page. Select Agree, (if you do).

3. You will be directed to the preliminary purchase form. If you have a Pricing/Company code enter it in the first cell. If you do not have a Pricing/Company code simply proceed to the next cell. Completely fill out this form and press “Submit My Order” at the bottom of the page.

4. You will be directed to Planning Templates Paypal account for payment. (Paypal is the credit card payment system associated with Ebay). If you already have a Paypal account you should use that account username and password to process this transaction. (The Paypal system will not allow you to associate a new user name and password with a credit card already in their system – a security measure designed to protect you.) If you have never used Paypal before, the system will ask you to set up a username and password for this transaction. Simply follow the instructions. The Paypal system will eventually associate your credit card number with the newly created username and password. As you continue through the Paypal process you will select a “continue” button at the button of the page followed by a “pay” button followed by a “continue” button. After the final Paypal “continue” button you will be directed to a page on the Planning Templates web site that says “Thank you for your order!” You may now download the product purchased. Click “Download Now.”

5. In the new window that opens (after clicking the “Download Now” button) Select the “Save” button. Your computer will then open another window asking you where you want to save the “zip” file (a wrapper file containing the Excel-based file you are purchasing). It is recommended that you use the “pull down” menu to choose to save the zip (wrapper) file to your computer’s “desktop.” Click Save.

6. The zip or wrapper file containing the Planning Templates product will be saved to the location you selected, presumably you computer’s desktop.

7. After the zip file download is complete, you should see a new Pkzip icon on your Desktop (or other selected location).  This is a zip file (wrapper) that contains the product you purchased.

8. Double click the PKzip icon to start the unzip feature.

9. If greeted with a windows security-warning window, click Run.

10. Following that, a new window will open with “Planning Templates” in the title bar. In that new window there will be a default file destination (where the zip file will deposit the Excel-based file your are purchasing) in the top cell. Ignore the default destination and click the browse button on the top right of that window to select a new destination.

11. Scroll to the top of the pull-down list and click on the “desktop” (or any other location to which you wish to place the Excel file). Then select OK

12. Click the "Extract" button.  Click "OK" in the additional small window that opens.

13. The Planning Templates Excel-based file will be extracted (unwrapped) to location you selected. If you selected "Desktop" the file will be there.
